The shooting schedule, built from your scene breakdown
Scenes are grouped by location, day before night. A new day starts at your page target or after 3 locations. Move anything by hand afterwards, and a day-out-of-days chart for cast comes with it.
What it does
- Straight from the scene breakdown: paste the script, split it into scenes, schedule in one click
- Grouped by location, day before night, pages per day, at most 3 locations a day; no day scenes after a night shoot
- Strips colored by INT/EXT and day/night; move them up, down or to another day
- Day out of days: who works which day, and the hold days in between, computed for you
- Make each day’s call sheet in one click; in a project it creates the shoot days and puts the shots into the rundown

Frequently asked questions
How is a shooting schedule usually put together?
Group scenes by location to cut company moves, shoot day scenes before night scenes within a day, then split by how many pages you can shoot a day while keeping cast availability in mind. CREA builds a first pass with these rules (about 5 pages a day by default, adjustable); you adjust from there.
What is a day out of days (DOOD)?
A chart of which days each cast member works. Days between two working days are marked too, so you can decide whether to hold them or release them in between.
Can I use it without signing up?
Yes. In the no-account trial you can paste a script, break it down and build the schedule entirely in your browser; it is saved only there. When you want to share it with your crew or edit it together, save it as a project and each scheduled day becomes a shoot day.
