Help
CREA is a workbench for people who shoot: call sheets, shot lists, rundowns, budgets and expenses, with the same projects on the web and in the Set app. This page explains what each thing is, how to start, and the questions people ask most.
Tools
All tools →- A professional call sheet, in three minutesFill in scenes, cast, sun times and safety once. Publishing mints a permanent link — paste it in the group chat, revise all you want, the link always opens the latest version. See who's read it at a glance. PDF export still included.
- Shot lists, the way real crews run themShot size, camera, duration, references — one table for the whole film. Sketch pads, reference videos, and one-click import of the PDF boards you already have.
- The rundown, your shot list in shooting orderThe shot list says what to shoot; the rundown says what gets shot at what time today. Drop shots into a day and the times flow from call time. Add a move, a meal or a break and everything after it shifts.
- The scene breakdown, your script one row per sceneOne row per scene: INT/EXT, day/night, location, cast, props, wardrobe, pages. The shot list groups by scene, the rundown bands by scene, and the call sheet's scene table, cast and daily props list all come from this one sheet.
- The shooting schedule, built from your scene breakdownScenes are grouped by location, day before night. A new day starts at your page target or after 3 locations. Move anything by hand afterwards, and a day-out-of-days chart for cast comes with it.
- Production budgetThe sheet where the money gets thought through before the shoot — eight categories, auto-compared against expenses.
- On-set expensesFronted cash on set? Snap the receipt and it's on the books. Approve, mark paid, export CSV.
- Invoices, issued on the spotJapan-compliant qualified invoices. One-tap import from past projects, tax auto-calculated, yearly income overview for tax season.
- Availability check, asked oncePick dates and people, send once. Who's free shows on your board at a glance — visible to you only, declining hurts no one.
- Idea boardA corkboard-style free canvas — pin images, write thoughts, link them with strings. Think alone, or send a link and build it with anyone (no sign-up needed on their end).
- Selects, no account needed for the clientUpload proofs, share one link per person or a password, let the client pick and comment, get told when they go over, then carry on to retouching and delivery.
- A submission-ready portfolio PDF, one clickStop fighting slides. Upload your works, layout happens automatically — export a PDF you can actually send, with clean CJK/Latin typesetting.

What these words mean
- Project · Crew · Member →
- One shoot or production is a project; the people on it are the crew; each of them is a member. Every tool for a project (call sheets, shot list, budget…) lives in its workspace.
- Lead · Delegate
- Whoever creates the project is the lead and can name one delegate. Both can change project settings, invite crew and see everyone's money; members only see their own expenses and pay.
- Call sheet →
- The one sheet for a shoot day: call time, location, who arrives when, what's being shot, who to call. Once published, every crew member gets their own copy (web link or app); changes go out as a new version.
- Rundown →
- The shooting-order version of the shot list: shots arranged by shoot day and sequence, with times. The call sheet's schedule can follow it directly.
- Budget · who can see it
- By default only leads can see the budget. From the top of the budget page a lead can let specific people in, set a passcode crew can enter themselves, or open it to the whole crew (view only). Expenses and pay are unaffected.
- No-signup sandbox →
- Write call sheets, shot lists, scene breakdowns, rundowns and shooting schedules without logging in; everything stays in your browser. Sign up when you want to save or share, and it all becomes a real project.
- Set app →
- The iPhone app for set days: call sheets, walkie-talkie, receipt photos for expenses, slate, viewfinder, equipment checks. Same account and same projects as the web.
- Team CREA →
- The team's official account. Everyone has one DM thread with it — say what's awkward or missing and we'll reply. Every changelog entry has a one-click "tell us" too.
Common questions
First time here — where do I start?
Start from the thing you actually need: open the call sheet tool to send a call sheet, the shot list to plan shots. The tool creates a project for you; add crew to it afterwards. Not sure yet? Try the no-signup sandbox — no login needed.
How do I get crew into a project?
From the Collaborate page in the workspace: search people by name, or copy the invite link into your group chat. Anyone who opens the link joins by typing a name — no signup first; they can add an email later to log in.
How do I send the call sheet?
Finish it and press Publish. Each crew member gets their own link (push notification if they have the app) showing their call time and location. Edit and publish again to send a new version — old links will say it's been updated. You can also export a PDF.
Will I lose what I wrote in the sandbox?
It lives only in this browser: switch computers or clear site data and it's gone. To keep it, press "Save as project" and sign up — call sheets, shots and frames move into a real project as they are.
Can we use different languages?
Yes. Everyone picks their own language in the footer or settings; it doesn't affect anyone else. Call sheets and PDF exports can be produced in Chinese, Japanese or English separately.
Can I export a finished project?
Yes. At the bottom of the project settings page, "Export project" builds a ZIP: call sheets, shot list, scenes, schedule, contacts, expenses, budget (if you can see it), documents and activity — all CSV and plain text, openable anywhere.
Export my data or delete my account
Settings → Account. "Export data" emails you one file with your profile, works and projects; "Delete account" has a 30-day grace period — log in during it to cancel.
Who do I ask when something's wrong?
Message Team CREA directly (the pinned thread in your inbox once logged in); we usually reply within a day. Or email info@crea.website.
